The Libertyville Elementary District 70 Board of Education has approved a five-year strategic plan calling for redesigning the gifted education program, creating a system to support struggling students, improving safety and offering healthy food choices. The plan will serve as a guideline through 2011.
LINCOLNSHIRE, DISTRICT 103
Lincolnshire-Prairie View District 103 has approved a plan for two tuition-based full-day kindergarten classes in the 2007-08 school year. Enrollment in the program, which can support 44 students, will be lottery-based. Parents who are interested in the full-day option may apply from Feb. 15 to April 13. The application will require a $500 deposit, which may be applied to the $3,500 tuition. VERNON HILLS, DISTRICT 73
Parents of children who will attend kindergarten next fall in Hawthorn District 73 are invited to parent information night at 7 p.m. Feb. 1 in the gym at Middle South School, 201 Hawthorn Pkwy. The meeting will provide information about all schools and programs, including Elementary South, Elementary North, Townline and Aspen, as well as the dual-language program.
