Sam Grano, 72, passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2007 in Fort Worth. Sammy was a free-spirited individual who loved life, loved his friends, but most of all his passion for the Martial Arts. He made many friends over his thirty plus years of teaching and fighting. Sam lost his final battle at 8:20 Friday morning Jan. 12, 2007. In early July Sam had a heart attack that severely damaged his heart. Struggling with a weak heart and diabetes, Sam was in and out of the hospitals from July through the end of November. In late November, Sam was admitted to the Life Care nursing home. We want to thank the staff at Life Care and Advance Hospice for their patience and assistance in taking care of Sam. Sam was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy; his father, Joseph Grano and his mother, Marie Miller. Survivors include his brother, Bill (Joann) Miller; close friend of over 40 years, Allen (Erlinda); niece, Brandi Underwood; numerous relatives in Illinois and many, many friends in the Martial Arts community. Arrangements by Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel, Fort Worth, Texas. 817-514-9100.
