Jess Elbert Henslee, 87, of Plantation, FL,, beloved husband and father, died on Jan. 8, 2007. He died peacefully at home surrounded by family and close friends. Jess was born on Feb. 28, 1919, in Beaumont, TX, to Mary Alice Stuart Henslee and James Earnest Henslee. He grew up in Beaumont, and graduated from Beaumont High School in 1937 and Rice University in 1942. He had a distinguished and enjoyable career with Trans World Airlines, where he worked as an Airline Pilot from 1944-1985. Jess cherished many longlasting friendships throughout his career with Trans World. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 55 years and also enjoyed playing cards and taking cruises. Jess is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joyce Gray Williamson Henslee; daughters, Diane “Middy” Henslee Redd and Bobette Henslee Boyd; and many other dear friends and family members. The family would like to give special thanks for the extraordinary care given to Jess. Funeral services private.
