– Will I be able to get the first season of “Heroes” on DVD? –Eddie Pizzo, Houston

Undoubtedly. The NBC series has been such a hit for the network, a second season is a foregone conclusion. As is traditional with the DVD releases of many shows, the past season is likely to hit rental and sales shelves just before the next one starts airing, so you can expect to see the roots of Hayden Panettiere’s cheerleader character and the others packaged up in August or September.

– I would like to know who played Maude’s daughter on the series “Maude.” –Robert Wills, Daytona Beach, Fla.

Adrienne Barbeau’s television and film career was launched when she played Maude’s offspring, Carol, on the often-controversial 1970s “All in the Family” spinoff. Since then, her credits have mixed small-screen and big-screen work, with “Escape From New York,””Swamp Thing,” “Creepshow” and “Back to School” among her theatrical films.

– Can you tell me if the sitcom “One Day at a Time,” starring Bonnie Franklin, will ever be released on DVD? –Kathie Giorgio, Waukesha, Wis.

CBS’ 2005 reunion special — which brought Franklin back together with her television “daughters,” Mackenzie Phillips and Valerie Bertinelli, as well as Pat Harrington Jr., who played ever-intrusive handyman Schneider — is available on disc. It contains numerous clips from episodes of the show, but the full series itself is unavailable at this time.

– Recently, I read that Stuart Margolin — who played Rockford’s pal on “The Rockford Files” — has passed away. The write-up indicated that Janet Margolin was his sister; however, her life events didn’t seem to match his. Were they really related? –Ann Nash, Richardson, Texas

They were siblings, but Stuart was still living as of this writing. Janet, arguably best-known for the movies “David and Lisa” and “Annie Hall,” died in 1993. Another sibling also is in show business: Arnold Margolin, who has produced such television series as “Love, American Style” and “Growing Pains.”

-How many “spaghetti Westerns” did Clint Eastwood make? Did they all include “Dollars” in their titles? –Lynne Schaefer, Sunriver, Ore.

Two out of the three did. During a mid-1960s break from making the television series “Rawhide,” Eastwood went overseas for his first collaboration with director Sergio Leone, “A Fistful of Dollars.” That film’s international success paved the way for the sequel “For a Few Dollars More,” and that was followed by “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.” The composer of all three films’ scores, Ennio Morricone, will be given an honorary Oscar at next month’s Academy Awards.

– Is Phill Lewis — who plays Mr. Moseby on “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” — related to Dawnn Lewis, who used to be on “A Different World”? –Susan Grimes, North Massapequa, N.Y.

Trying to make that connection is logical, particularly since both performers use the double consonants at the ends of their first names, but we’ve been unable to find any family ties between them.
