“Grey’s Anatomy” may have won a Golden Globe, but a dark cloud is hanging over the cast because of the continuing controversy over Isaiah Washington’s use of an anti-gay slur last week.
ABC and its parent company Disney are weighing the future of Washington, who plays Dr. Preston Burke, The New York Times reported.
According to an unnamed source, Washington’s behavior could be grounds for dismissal under Disney’s anti-discrimination policy. Washington has apologized for his remarks.
Meanwhile, cast members say Washington’s future is far from certain.
“I’m just saying my prayers,” Kate Walsh, who plays Dr. Addison Shepherd, told “Extra” at the Sundance Film Festival, according to people.com.
