William C. “Bill” Hampton Jr., 83, of Lauderhill, FL, passed away Jan. 21, 2007. He was born Feb. 11, 1923 in Chicago and later served in the U.S Air Force 9th Division during WW II and participated in the Battle of Normandy. He was the owner of Town and Country TV in West Chicago and retired to Florida in the late 60’s where he became a broker with Ballistreri Real Estate Co. He loved to fish, travel, play golf and was a member of Ft. Lauderdale Country Club. He was preceded in death by his first wife Claire Hampton and second wife Doris Fox Hampton. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Yaffa Connor; a son Steven Hampton; grandchildren, Andrea Hampton and Kristin Hampton; a sister Carol Berning; and cousins Bradford Knights and Kristopher Knights. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at T.M.
