I noticed the Tribune has listed 12 or so declared or expected-to-declare candidates for the 2008 presidential election. I watch again with glee how the Democrats do this every election. It ties up all the press bandwidth, allows daily comments from one or more, covers geographics and demographics and controls a lot of discussion–all against the Republicans.
What a great tactic, as if the Dems never talk to each other, coordinate or draw initial funds from the same well.
When corporations do things like this to control markets or pricing, it is called “collusion.”
In politics, I call it “genius.”
The result is that the Democratic candidates’ daily rotating news stories relegate the sparse “Republican” news to the footnotes.
Pity the Republicans who don’t have a clue.
