Eileen Flanders, nee Kleifield, born May 10, 1931, died Jan. 19, 2007. Formerly married to Norman Flanders; wife of Murray Westler for 21 years; mother of Dr. Sam (Suzanne) Flanders of Indianapolis, IN and Dr. Adam (Deborah Markiewicz) Flanders of Philadelphia, PA; grandmother of Joshua, Nathan and Danielle. She was a graduate of Roosevelt University with a B.A. in 1951 and an M.A. in 1969 and a teacher of English as a Second Language and Assistant Foreign Student Advisor from September 1969 to June 1980 at the university. From 1980 to 1998 she was Director of the International Office of Northwestern University. Cremation private. Donations to the Kellogg Cancer Care Center at Evanston Hospital appreciated.
