Jesse Hernandez, age 68, of Dolton, IL, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Lucy; devoted children, Arthur (Deneen), Laura (Jon A.) Denk, Lisa (Paul) Daum and Mark (Erika); cherished grandchildren, Sara, Richard, Nicholas, Paul, Austin, Karlynn, Lyndsey, Isabella and Julianna; fond sisters, Mrs. Socorra Hernandez and Mrs. Maria Maciel; sister-in-law, Josephine (Raul) Alvarez; brothers-in-law, Hank Mendoza and Arthur Mendoza. He was the fond uncle of numerous nieces and nephews; and a friend of many. He will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral Services will be Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007 at 8:45 a.m. from Rosemoor Funeral Home, 17943 Torrence, Lansing, IL 60438 to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3200 East 91st Street, Chicago, IL 60617 for 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Visitation Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. Mr. Hernandez was born Nov. 8, 1938 in Michoacan, Mexico and arrived in the United States in 1956.
