Mable A. Murphy, nee Marshall, age 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007. Mable was a 55 year resident of Homewood and formerly of Roseland. Beloved wife of the late Patrick T. Murphy; loving mother of George M. (Eileen) Murphy; devoted grandmother of Sean and Michael Murphy; fond sister of the late Nellie Marie Marshall. Mable was the Head Librarian of the Homewood Public Library from 1956-1976. Mable was known for her devotion to people and was compassionate to those in need. Her personality nurtured many loving relationships over many years and she will be sorely missed. Visitation Friday, Jan. 26, 2 to 9 p.m. at the Ryan Funeral Home, 18022 Dixie Highway in Homewood. Funeral Saturday, 10:45 a.m. prayers at the funeral home to St. Joseph Church. Mass 11 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
