Gift of life
I have always thought being an egg donor was out of question for me (“For sale: You,” Jan. 29 cover story). I couldn’t imagine creating another human being and never being there to love or nurture him or her. Never hearing my child laugh or being there for life’s precious moments would be torture.
However, now that I’m older and have decided against having children of my own, I don’t think it would be such a bad idea to give the gift of life to a deserving couple and knock out a few student loans in the process.

Condos gone crazy
I agree with the people who are against more high-rise condos being built by the beautiful old historic homes (“South Loop group fears high-rise condos threatening historic feel,” Jan. 26). I live in Oak Park and we also are being inundated with the condo craze.
Something low-rise: fine, but these big tall buildings sticking up in the air don’t belong. It ruins the flavor of the neighborhood, not to mention the increased traffic problems.
Plus, can’t we leave a patch of grass anywhere, or do we need to fill every vacant piece of land with condos?

Don’t bag on Indy
This is for Bag Boy. I know he’s sarcastic and all, but that was so not cool for him to dog Indy like he did in Friday’s issue (“Getting over my Super hangover before it starts”).
Does he not realize how many Hoosiers and Indianapolis natives live in Chicago? Yeah, I agree, it’s not the greatest town and it certainly doesn’t compare to Chicago, but it’s still our hometown. And yeah, yeah, yeah, this is Da Bears’ home, but GO COLTS!

Isaiah’s sorry enough
I disagree with your comment that Isaiah Washington should be dismissed from “Grey’s Anatomy” (“It’s time to pull the plug on ‘Grey’s’ star,” Jan. 26 column by Kyra Kyles).
First of all, he has apologized to the gay and lesbian community for his remark.
Ah, it’s OK for Mel Gibson to be permitted to have his latest movie on the circuit after making his anti-Semitic comments. Shame on Michael Richards for using the n-word.
Washington plays his character extremely well and he is an asset to the cast. I think he’s a good actor and has said enough “I’m sorry” comments.
Just let it go; enough has been said. Without him, “Grey’s Anatomy” wouldn’t be as interesting.
