Lake Forest Academy will celebrate its 150th anniversary with a party for adults from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 13 in Reid Hall at the school, 1500 W. Kennedy Rd. The event will include a cocktail party and the opening of the Lake Forest Academy and Ferry Hall History Exhibit. All current and former Sheridan School students, staff, and families, as well as families and staff districtwide, may attend the school’s 50th birthday reunion and rededication from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 11 at 1360 N. Sheridan Rd. Former students are asked to send a short paragraph regarding their fondest memory of the school for display. Afterward, they will be combined into a collection for future generations.
