Geneva and St. Charles are working together to expand transportation services for seniors and the disabled by expanding the Dial-a-Ride program, which will now be called Ride in Kane.
Services that have been available weekdays 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. will be available all day, every day under the new plan. One-way cash fares will be $3 for up to 10 miles plus $1.50 for each mile over 10. Fares under Geneva’s existing program are $2.50 to St. Charles from Geneva and $2.25 within Geneva.
The program will be available May 1.
