Most actors like buzz, but not this kind of buzz.
In a scene toward the end of “The Reaping,” the town of Haven–and most of its residents–is covered top to bottom in swarming locusts. Many of the bugs were created via computers, but nearly 20,000 of them were real–and not especially popular among the cast.
“Huge things, man. They were horrible,” said Idris Elba, who had to plunge his hands into a crate full of the critters. “There’s one scene where I’m literally throwing them at the crew, and they were all laughing at me.”
