It was double the tension, double the heartbreak (and haters would say double the fun) on “American Idol” on Wednesday night as two finalists got the boot.
After a staggering 135 million votes over two weeks were counted, Phil Stacey and Chris Richardson were voted off the show, whittling down the field to the Final Four
“I’m goin’ down in a blaze of glory,” sang nice-guy Phil in his appropriately titled farewell song. And before they heard which one of them would be leaving, Beat Boxer Blake and Chris (a.k.a. Lil J.T.) vowed that they’ll go on tour together.
So your Final Four is: Jordin Sparks, LaKisha Jones, Blake Lewis and Melinda Doolittle. And we’re going out on a limb to say they’ll go home in that order.
