Lois B. Beecroft, 97, of Downers Grove, IL, formerly of Venice, FL, passed away on April 29. Born in Chicago, IL on April 7, 1910, she was a long time resident of Elmhurst, IL prior to moving to Venice in 1974. In 2005, she moved to Downers Grove. Lois was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Venice United Church of Christ and the 1st Congregational Church in Elmhurst. Survivors include her son, Michael (Peggy) of Plymouth, MI; four grandchildren: Robert J. (Cathy) of Downers Grove, Kim Oliva of Villa Park, IL, Ron J. (Tina) of Elmhurst, Brandi of Canton, MI; four great-grandchildren: Christopher and Jeff Oliva both of Villa Park, Barbara and Tami Beecroft both of Downers Grove. Graveside services will be 9 a.m. on Friday, May 4 at Venice Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2801 Fruitville Rd., Suite 250, Sarasota, FL 34237.
