John T. Durkin, age 80, beloved husband of Dorothy, nee Schmugge; loving father of Ann (John) Keating, Dan (Anna) Durkin, Jane (Paul) Fruin, and Margaret (Jim) Roche; cherished grandfather of Betsy and Jack Keating, Anna and Sam Durkin, Jenny and Ryan Fruin, and Mary Pat, Katie, Mike, and the late Patrick Roche; fond brother of Catherine (the late Philip) Raleigh and Tom (Colette) Durkin; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Mr. Durkin was a member of the Illinois Bar for over 50 years and a 30 year member of the St. Mary of the Woods Choir. He held a life long passion for travel and books.
