The horses weren’t the only celebrities during Derby weekend.

Actress and Chicago native Jenny McCarthy was as star-struck as other partygoers who hoped to meet Queen Elizabeth II during the festivities.

“I’m scared of what to say to her, though. There are so many rules,” McCarthy said, according to The Associated Press. ” ‘Yo! Wassup.’ That probably isn’t appropriate.”

Rocker Gene Simmons wasn’t scared to place a $100,000 bet in the hands of his companion, former Playmate Shannon Tweed. Tweed said she picked based on the jockeys’ silks.

And Louisville native Larry Birkhead was greeted by cheers, according to accesshollywood.com. Birkhead, who proved he’s the father of Anna Nicole Smith’s baby, said little Dannielynn is “doing great. She’s eating well. She’s sleeping well.”
