It’s the first rule of sitcom weddings: Everything goes wrong, and wacky high jinks ensue. Marshall and Lily’s (Jason Segel, Alyson Hannigan) nuptial day is no exception. And believe it or not, it’s Mr. Anti-Marriage himself, Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), who steps in to rescue the happy couple from disaster. Josh Radnor and Cobie Smulders also star.
2. ‘Everybody Hates Chris’

She’s a professional; don’t try this at home. Chris (Tyler James Williams) needs help with algebra so he can enter a math competition. Rochelle (Tichina Arnold) tries tutoring him, but he has more success with lessons from her mom, Maxine (Loretta Devine), who happens to be a former algebra teacher. Only thing is, he can’t tell Mama. Terry Crews also stars.
3. ‘The New Adventures of Old Christine’
7:30 p.m., WBBM-Ch. 2
Fun has consequences? This shouldn’t be news to Christine; she has a child, after all. But it turns out one crazy night could ruin her chance to be more than Ritchie’s (Trevor Gagnon) mom where his handsome teacher, Mr. Harris (Blair Underwood), is concerned. Oh, well. Wanda Sykes, Hamish Linklater and Clark Gregg also star.
4. ‘Heroes’
8 p.m., WMAQ-Ch. 5
Hiro and Ando (Masi Oka, James Kyson Lee) face a test of their resolve to save the world; Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) takes drastic steps to ensure victory in the election; and Thompson (Eric Roberts) brings new blood into the company. Ellen Greene guest-stars as Sylar’s (Zachary Quinto) mom.
5. ‘Girlfriends’

So many proposals, so little time. In the hourlong season finale, Joan (Tracee Ellis Ross, above) breaks it off with Aaron (Richard T. Jones) when he responds less than eagerly to her marriage proposal. Then she runs into old flame Brock (Malik Yoba), who says he was wrong to let her go and now wants to wed. She agrees to a weekend away with him, but Maya and Lynn (Golden Brooks, Persia White) think this is a very bad idea.
6. ‘CSI: Miami’
9 p.m., WBBM-Ch. 2
This is why you should say no to drugs. A man suspected of carjacking turns up dead, and Horatio (David Caruso) and his team discover the dead man may have had ties to a powerful and dangerous drug lord involved in an offshore smuggling operation. Emily Procter, Adam Rodriguez, Khandi Alexander and Jonathan Togo also star.
