The Bulls looked to improve on their dismal performance on Saturday. Here’s how they fared in Game 2.
TURNOVERS
GAME 1: 22
GAME 2: 13
After a mistake-prone first game, Tyrus Thomas and P.J. Brown reduced their giveaways to one each. No such luck for Ben Gordon (3) and Andres Nocioni (4).
SHOOTING
GAME 1: 33%
GAME 2: 34%
Not much better this time. Tyrus Thomas had a much greater impact in Game 2, leading the team with 18 points in just over 22 minutes of play.
DEFENSE
GAME 1: Pistons scored 95
GAME 2: Pistons scored 108
A team that prides itself in making defensive adjustments allowed Detroit to score 13 more points to break the century mark. The Bulls had no more success in containing the Pistons’ top shooters. In fact, Richard Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince and Chris Webber all bettered their Game 1 scores, topping 20 points each.
