George D. Sutton, age 80, of Lynwood, IL and formerly of Merionette Park, IL, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2007. He is survived by sisters, Lillian (Robert) Pierce of Highland, IN and Lorraine (William) Mang of Tinley Park, IL, brother, Earl (Eloise) Sutton of Springhill, FL; nephews, Ronald (Jeanette) Pierce, Bill (Laurie) Sutton, Earl (Sandy) Sutton and Jim (Jill) Sutton, nieces, Pam Kaufman, Barb (Bart) Zeller, Claire St. Jorge and Diane (Dave) Radtke. He is preceded in death by his nephew, Robert Allan Pierce. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing at 5:30 p.m. with the Fr. William Eddy officiating. Interment will be a Chapel Hill Gardens South, Worth, IL on Friday, April 11, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. George retired from St. Xavier University after 26 years of service. he was a gentle man, devoted son and gad a fine sense of humor.
