Who can a star trust more than mom? She ostensibly labored, bathed, fed and encouraged the youngin’ to pursue his or her dreams. (Whether the bambino actually had any real talent, alas, is another story.) It makes sense, then, that an entertainer would employ mum to manage the business part of life, even after they’ve hit the big time. Case in point: The bevy of mom-agers who have little or no showbiz experience but seem to deftly handle the ins and outs of daily business dealings.

In honor of Mother’s Day, we pay homage to the celebrity moms that have worked it.

Donda West

Spawn: Kanye West.

Mama West manages her Grammy-winning son and still had time to recently pen the book “Raising Kanye.” They must have a good relationship, because this week he unabashedly told Ellen DeGeneres that he liked porn while being interviewed on her show. And his mom was sitting directly next to him.

Dina Lohan

Spawn: Lindsay Lohan.

Wherever Lindsay goes, Dina is sure to follow. Even rehab. Dina brought cameras to the rehab facility her daughter was in for an “exclusive” with “Entertainment Tonight.” This mom-ager also has been seen out at the clubs with her daughter.

Jonnetta Patton

Spawn: Usher.

The pair made headlines this week when Usher confirmed he axed his mom as his manager. She held the job since Usher was a teen. We hope she’s negotiating for a benefits package — $1 million for each hour of labor.

Lynne Spears

Spawn: Britney Spears (and Jamie Lynn too).

While Lynne no longer manages her daughter’s troubled career — Maybe she should! — the mom certainly has tried to manage the press by giving quotes about how evil the media is to Britney. She also tries to manage her not-so-innocent daughter … to little avail.

Irmelin DiCaprio

Spawn: Leonardo DiCaprio.

She may not manage Leo’s career, but she seems to have some serious influence on his personal life. He brings her to practically every movie premiere and awards show he attends. Either she’s there to fix his tie and clean his ears before each event, or he’s just avoiding bringing a real date.
