Green Day makes an appearance in “The Simpsons Movie” out on July 27. Creator Matt Groening confirmed to MTV News that the band will play in the flick. “They’re really good sports, and I think we both honor them and ‘Simpson’-ize them. You can take that however you want. They’re really nice guys,” Groening said.
