Richard “Dick” Weinmann, 57, of McLeansboro passed away at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at McLeansboro Rehab and Health Care Center in McLeansboro, Illinois. He was a telephone lineman for Illinois Bell for 30 years. Mr. Weinmann was born July 12, 1949 in Evanston to Ernst J. and Eleanor R. (Wieczorek) Weinmann. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Harre Funeral Homein McLeansboro. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 15 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Piopolis with the Monsignor Joseph Lawler officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Piopolis. He is survived by sister, Betty (John) Mann of Anderson, SC; brother, Jim (Deb) Weinmann of Indianapolis; sister, Mary Weinmann of Anderson, SC; brother, Thomas (Bridget) Weinmann of Buffalo Grove; brother, Gerry (Debbie) Weinmann of Buffalo Grove; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Weinmann was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Piopolis. He was very active in church activities and the care of the church facilities. Mr. Weinmann served in the United States Army for an extended tour of duty in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and William Weinmann.
