South Korea’s Jee Young Lee took a one-stroke lead in the Michelob Ultra Open, matching the course record with an 8-under 63 in Williamsburg, Va. Lee had a bogey-free round on the 6,306-yard River Course at Kingsmill, tying the record set by Kim Williams in 2004 and matched by Sarah Lee in the first round. Sarah Lee had three bogeys in a 72 and was in second place. … England’s Lee Westwood shot a 7-under 65 to take a one-stroke lead into the final round of the Andalucia Open in Marbella, Spain. Westwood had a 15-under 201 total. Spain’s Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano, the Italian Open winner last week, was second after a 67.

*Terrell Owens surprised his Dallas Cowboys teammates by participating in the team’s first mini-camp. The wide receiver has been recovering from two off-season surgeries on his right ring finger. Coach Wade Phillips had said Owens would not practice in the team’s first gathering. In drills against Dallas’ first-team defense, Owens beat cornerback Terence Newman and hauled in a nicely thrown deep ball from Tony Romo.

*Kendrick Farris broke his own American record in the clean and jerk, lifting 200 kilograms to win his second consecutive USA Weightlifting national championship in Schaumburg. Farris, 21, of Shreveport, La., had already won the 85-kilogram competition when he made his record-setting lift. Adding a snatch of 155 kilograms, Farris won with a total of 355 kilograms. These championships serve as the primary qualifier for the U.S. roster for the Pan-American Games.
