California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has a lot on his mind — just not Paris Hilton.
That’s what he said Friday when asked if he would pardon the jail-bound heiress.
“I have many more important things to think about,” Schwarzenegger told The Associated Press.
The governor’s remarks capped off a week that saw a petition to free Paris score thousands of signatures on the Internet and a frenzy of media coverage. But everyone isn’t in Hilton’s camp. Ninety-five percent of Us Weekly’s online users said in a survey they would not sign the petition to keep Hilton out of jail.
Even Tori Spelling’s mom, Candy, got into the fray. TMZ.com posted a letter purportedly from Candy Spelling to Hilton on Sunday that read, in part, “Paris, I’m very worried about you.”
