1. ‘Everybody Hates Chris’
7 p.m., WGN-Ch. 9
In a television universe where it seems every season finale has to be a Very Special Episode, it’s refreshing to see one that’s pretty much business as usual. The only thing out of the ordinary is Chris’ (Tyler James Williams, right) resolution to end the school year by getting revenge on Caruso (Travis Flory). Aside from that, we have Julius (Terry Crews) botching a home repair and Drew (Tequan Richmond) defying Mom. Just like sitcom dads and kids everywhere.
2. ‘The King of Queens’
8 p.m., WBBM-Ch. 2
Long live the “King” — in syndication. The sitcom ends its nine-year network run Monday night with an hourlong episode that brings a big surprise for Doug and Carrie (Kevin James, Leah Remini, above). They’re bickering over the fact that Carrie still has her apartment in the city when the life-changing call comes. Speaking of life changes, Arthur (Jerry Stiller) is headed for the altar, but it’s a bumpy ride. Lainie Kazan guest stars.
3. ‘Heroes’
8 p.m., WMAQ-Ch. 5
Some are arriving in New York while others are trying to get out in advance of the predicted explosion — including Peter and Ted (Milo Ventimiglia, Matthew John Armstrong). While preparing for his showdown with Sylar (Zachary Quinto), Hiro (Masi Oka) learns something about his own origins from his dad (guest star George Takei). Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) weighs the cost of his political career to his loved ones.
4. ‘CSI: Miami’
9 p.m., WBBM-Ch. 2
They know “Y,” and they think they know who. But guess again. In the season finale, Caine (David Caruso) and the team help capture a suspect in a series of murders in which the victims are branded with the letter Y. It turns out the suspect has an extra Y chromosome, which was once believed to predispose a male to criminal behavior. So it looks as if the case is closed, until more murders start happening.
5. ‘American Experience’
9 p.m., WTTW-Ch. 11
He’s on the $10 bill. He was killed in a duel with Aaron Burr. That’s the extent of many people’s knowledge of Alexander Hamilton, the United States’ first secretary of the Treasury. This new profile will change that, as it remembers the good, the bad and the ugly about Hamilton, from his scandalous extramarital affair to his vision of the nation’s potential that laid the groundwork for today’s economic system.
