Oh Deere, Wie has a dilemma
Michelle Wie has been extended a third invitation to the PGA Tour’s July 12-15 John Deere Classic in Silvis, Ill. But conflicting reports cast doubt on whether she will accept. Her swing coach, David Ledbetter, has been quoted as saying the 17-year-old is going to concentrate on the LPGA and not play in any PGA events. But John Deere officials haven’t gotten that impression. “We’re holding an exemption for [her] and she’s going to let us know by the end of the month,” tournament spokesman Barry Cronin said. “It’s as simple as that. Our tournament director has been talking directly with B.J. Wie, her father. He hasn’t given any indication that she’s not going to play here.”

Bradley to lose ‘interim’ tag
U.S. soccer’s 10-month search for a head coach has come to an end. Bob Bradley will be named the U.S. national team’s head coach during a news conference Wednesday in New York, according to a source. Bradley, 49, who coached the Fire to its only MLS Cup victory in 1998, had spent the previous five months as the team’s interim head coach while U.S. soccer President Sunil Gulati considered other candidates. In the end, it was Bradley’s 3-0-1 record as interim head coach after Bruce Arena was let go — including impressive wins over Mexico and Ecuador — that likely won Gulati over. Next up for the U.S. is an exhibition against China on June 2.

Kardashian, Bush quite the item
US Weekly magazine reports 26-year-old Kim Kardashian, most recently in the news over a sex tape with an ex-boyfriend, is now out in the open with her new man, New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush. The two, who were introduced last year by Kardashian pal Paris Hilton and Bush’s former USC teammate Matt Leinart, began dating casually earlier this year. But their low-key romance has blossomed into a full public display of affection, according to US. Saturday, the couple dined at the posh Ivy restaurant on paparazzi-littered Robertson Boulevard in Beverly Hills. And on May 10, they were seen “grinding” and “making out” on the dance floor of L.A. nightclub Teddy’s.
