Howard Riffer, age 80, of Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2007. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne; loving father of Jeff of California and Nancy (Richard) Hoffman, of Illinois; cherished grandfather of Eric and Amanda Hoffman and Kelly and Andie Riffer; loving brother-in-law to Alice Weinberg; and caring uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Howard was preceded in death by his five brothers. Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2007 at 12 p.m. at Kneseth Israel Cemetery in Hammond, IN with Rabbi Raphael Ostrovsky officiating. Howard was a graduate of Purdue University, a WWII Army veteran and a member of Congregation Beth Israel. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in his loving memory.
