When you’re Cameron Diaz, it’s hard to look that bad — unless, of course, you’re playing a green cartoon ogress, as the actress does in “Shrek the Third,” which opens in theaters this weekend. And there was the frizzy hair in “Being John Malkovich.”
Diaz, who recently ranted to Hollywood columnist Jeanne Wolf about the prejudice against beautiful people, has had a few less-than-flattering roles through her career. We revisit the good, the bad and the ugly of Diaz’s ‘dos through the years.
THE GOOD
The Mask (1994)
Va va va voom, baby!
Charlie’s Angels
(2000)
Blond, buff and badass.
THE BAD
There’s Something About Mary (1998)
Who could forget the “hair gel” incident?
Shrek (2001, 2004, 2007)
What can we say? Green’s not your color.
THE UGLY
Being John Malkovich (1999)
Good movie, bad hair.
Gangs of New York (2002)
Decent movie, bad hair.
