John Roland Roney, 73, is at peace after many years of illness. He passed away on Friday, May 18, 2007, at his home in Winnetka, IL. God rest his soul. He is survived by loving wife, Mary; devoted son, John Rockwell Roney; daughter-in-law, Kelly; cherished granddaughter, Kendal; sister, Barbara Morency; many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. John is the son of the late Walter and Katherine Roney; brother to the late Walter Roney and Joan Wirtz. His big heart, integrity and humor will be missed by many. Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1077 Tower Road, Winnetka, IL at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2007. Visitation 2 p.m. at the church. Interment private.
