Marilyn Westover, nee Mayer, of Manhattan, died Friday, May 18, 2007 at Joliet Area Community Hospice House, Joliet, IL. She is survived by one daughter, Jenna Westover; two sons, Brandon and Connor Westover, of Manhattan; one stepson, Dan Westover; her mother Jane Mayer of Orland Park; one sister Phyllis (Jim) Andretich of Orland Park; two brothers Charles (Terri) Mayer also of Orland Park and Douglas Mayer of Chicago; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; a life-long friend Irene Zion of Oak Forest also survives. Preceded in death by her father Charles D. Mayer. Marilyn grew up in Oak Forest where she attended Oak Forest High School. She resided in Manhattan for the past 15 years. She was most recently employed by the Village of Manhattan as a secretary. Marilyn loved her children dearly and devoted all of her free time to them. Funeral service for Marilyn Westover will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Forsythe Funeral Home, Manhattan. Memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Visitation Monday, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
