A movement to bring an “Office” convention to Scranton, Pa., appears to have made some progress. Planners announced on theofficeconvention.com that the inaugural “Office” convention will be held Oct. 26-28 in “beautiful downtown Scranton.” Beyond the date, details are sketchy.
“Think of it like a ‘Star Trek’ convention but with nerds wearing Dwight Schrute glasses instead of Spock ears,” the site explains.
Meanwhile, Brian Baumgartner (“Kevin”) and Angela Kinsey (“Angela”) were in Scranton this weekend to tour the city and received a hero’s welcome, according to The Associated Press. “We actually teared up a bit because of the reception you gave us,” Kinsey said. “We’re just so proud to be here and meet you guys.”
