Thomas Jacob Olsen, 92, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2007. “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”. Tom was born in Chicago, IL on November 6, 1914, the third of seven children born to Conrad and Andrea Olsen. He was a hard working, kind and gentle man who loved God and family. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Ken and Al; sister Betty; granddaughter Tracy Lynn; survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Dorothy, nee Bensen; sons Thomas James (Linda), Paul David (Karin); four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Paul; sisters Agnes and Vera; and many nephews and nieces. Visitation will be Friday, May 25, from 3 to 9 p.m. and the Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 26, at 10 a.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL.
