Junella Schwankoff, 86, of Woodstock, died Thursday, May 17, 2007 at the Centegra Memorial Medical Center in Woodstock. She was born November 7, 1920 in Park Ridge, IL, the daughter of William W. and Wilhelmina (Bottenhagen) Ward. She married George Schwankoff on February 1, 1941 in Chicago, IL. Mrs. Schwankoff was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; and she and her husband enjoyed 65 years of marriage together. She is survived by her daughter, Judith (Tim) Low of Woodstock; four grandchildren, Michael Eck, Gregory Eck, Sarah Roach and Thomas Roach; a sister, Jeanette Squires; a brother, William (Joyce) Ward; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parnts; her husband George on Nov. 9, 2005; a daughter, Marilyn Schwankoff on May 15, 2003; a sister, Gladys Boecher; and a brother, John Clark Ward. Visitation for Mrs. Schwankoff will be on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 from 11 a.m. until the 12 p.m. funeral service at the Schneider~Leucht~Mervin & Cooney Funeral Homein Woodstock. Interment will be in the Acadia Park Cemetery in Chicago.
