Get there: #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express, Brown Line to State/Lake CTA stop
The basics: It’s one of the largest parades in the country, featuring more than 25,000 participants and 250 marching units. Parade continues south on State Street to Van Buren Street. At 11 a.m., see a wreath-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame on the Richard J. Daley Center Plaza (Dearborn and Washington Streets).
Don’t miss: A postparade tipple at nearby Emerald Loop Bar & Grill (216 N. Wabash St. 312-263-0200).

Sunday: Cyclists take over the streets for Bike the Drive. 5:30 a.m. $35-$75. Columbus and Balbo Drives. Registration:

Monday: The WOOGMS 44th Annual Memorial Day Parade steps off at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove and Wellington Avenues in Lakeview, continuing east to Sheridan Road, south to Diversey Parkway, east to North Lake Shore Drive and north to St. Joseph Hospital (2900 N. Lake Shore Drive).
