Mitchell J. Czarkowski, 85, A.K.A. “Carbide Mike”, Matt, son of the late Emil and the late Mary Ann, nee Niewinski; husband of Lillian, nee Ondrla; loving father of Anne Marie and Michael; brother of the late Adam and the late Theresa; brother in law of Steve and Mary Ann Ondrla; uncle of Steven, David, Linda, Ronnie and Debbie. Employed by Illinois Tool Works for 45 years where he established lifelong golfing buddies. Served in WW II as a proud member of the 82nd and 101st Airborne. Participated in D-Day. Passionate follower of the Chicago Bears. Visitation Friday, 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels,8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, followed by Funeral Mass 11 a.m. at Divine Savior Church.
