Dr. Martens issued an apology to Courtney Love on Thursday for featuring her late husband, Kurt Cobain, in an advertising campaign running in a UK publication. “We are really, really, really sorry,” Dr. Martens CEO David Suddens tells People magazine.
“We do think that it is offensive. We made a mistake. My message to Courtney Love is: This is something we shouldn’t have been doing.”
The ad pictures Cobain sitting on a cloud wearing Dr. Martens and an angelic robe. It reads: “Dr. Martens. Forever.”
