Pegasus Players has announced its 2007-08 subscription season. In the fall, Jonathan Wilson will direct August Wilson’s “Jitney”; the annual Young Playwrights Festival will be back in January with a new, international component. … After delaying its season due to the cicada invasion, Oak Brook’s First Folio Shakespeare Festival will officially open its outdoor production of “Richard III” on July 13. Kevin McKillip, Iris Lieberman, Patrick Clear and Nick Sandys star. … Jim Rank, McKinley Carter, David Perkovich and John Reeger star in the rarely seen musical “It’s a Bird … It’s a Plane … It’s Superman,” opening June 7 at the Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook, under the direction of William Osetek. … The Actors Workshop Theatre now says its production of “Equus” must close for good on May 27. … “It Ain’t No Fairy Tale,” the solo show by former Chicago actress Lusia Strus, has won the LA Weekly’s award for best solo performance. Strus and her show now are headed to the New York Fringe Festival.
