Frieda Stern, age 93, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2007. She was a beloved and unselfish mother, wife, caregiver and friend devoted to her Jewish faith and family. Frieda was born in Chicago Sept. 12, 1913 and lived there until moving to Arizona 12 years ago. She and her husband Harry were big fundraisers for the Yanni Cohen Heart Foundation in Chicago. She leaves behind her two beloved sons, Phillip and Sidney (Sherry); grand daughters, Lisa and Abbe (Adam); and great grandchild, Ally. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews & cousins. Graveside Funeral Services were held in Arizona on May 25. Contributions in her memory may be made for research to the American Heart Association, 2929 S. 48th St., Tempe, AZ 85282.
