Even Mayor Richard Daley couldn’t have planned this better. With the city putting on the full press to land the Summer Olympics in 2016, the famed Mormon Tabernacle Choir is preparing to sing John Williams’ (right) “Call of the Champions” when the 350-member troupe makes its Ravinia debut on June 27. That ditty, of course, was the theme of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. And every little bit helps Mayor Daley’s efforts to land the Games.
