Lawrence Lorenz, age 75, of Holland, MI, died Friday, May 25, 2007 at Hospice House of Holland. He was born and raised in Bellwood outside of Chicago. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He moved to Holland in 1976. He worked for Trans Matic Manufacturing for over 20 years. He was a member of VFW post of Holland, Moose lodge, and Crestview Golf Course of Douglas. He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta in 1994; children Lawrence Lorenz and Amy DeWitt of Holland, MI and daughter Cara and Brian Heffner of Travers City, MI.; one granddaughter Elyse Roberta Heffner; sister Judy Mitz of West Chicago, and Margaret Zerdin of Holland, MI.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday at The Northwood Chapel Dykstra Life Story Funeral Home, 295 Douglas Ave., Holland, MI. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visiting will be from 7to 9 p.m. Tuesday at The Northwood Chapel Dykstra Life Story Funeral Home, 295 Douglas Ave. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Holland.
