Bruce Thorne, 101 of Lake Forest, died May 26, 2007. He is survived by his two daughters, Elizabeth (Albert) Pyott and Sheila (Marc Sapir) Thorne; nine grandchildren, Marianne (Wayne) Witte, Bruce (Alicia) Thorne, Aubrey (Charles) Carey, Sheila Pyott, Rob (Khadija) Pyott, Marianne (David Ehle) Pyott, Shepherd (Laura) Harper, Joel (Kathleen) Harper and Joanna Sapir; thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marianne, and his two sons, Bruce Thorne Jr. and George Arthur Thorne. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, 700 N. Sheridan Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Field Museum, Attn: Development Dept., 1400 S. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60605, or The Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe, IL 60022, or Gorton Community Center, 400 E.
