Inez L. Ellsberry, age 92, of Elmhurst, formerly of La Grange, IL; loving daughter of the late Clarence M. and Nellie Ellsberry; dearest aunt of Karen (Tom) Engle, Robert (the late Judy) Thoresen, Kenneth (Nancy) Thoresen; great-aunt of David, Erik, Peter and Laura Thoresen and Erin Cox; great-great-aunt of Emma Cox, Maxwell and Naomi Thoresen; dearest sister of the late Vernon, Arlene, Leona Thoresen and June Fox. No visitation. Memorial service Monday, June 4, 11 a.m. in the main sanctuary of 1st United Methodist Church of La Grange, 100 W. Cossitt Ave. Interment will be in the church memorial garden. In 1974, Inez retired from Elmhurst District #46 after 34 years as vocal music teacher, librarian and director of the Learning Material Center of Sandburg Jr. High School in Elmhurst. She received a bachelor degree in music education from Wesleyan University, a Masters’ Degree from University of Wyoming and Masters’ in Library Science from Rosary College, River Forest. As a club director, she served with the Red Cross in Manila from 1945 to 1946. Was a member of the Omicron Music Sorority and the American Farm Bureau.
