Ione Askevold, nee Suprise, age 89, of Forsyth, Missouri formerly of Melrose Park, IL, passed away on May 30 in the Forsyth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. With deep love and affection we mourn her loss. We will always have memories that we treasure within our hearts of the one we loved so much. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 year, Erling “Al” Askevold. Loving mother of Joy (James) Clark, Joann (Patrick) Sinople, Janis (Jim) Popovtschak, Janet (Gunther) Popovtschak, Karen Sorrisso and Al and Terry Askevold; grandmother of 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, kind and caring friends and neighbors. A special thank you to the many care givers and medical personnel who demonstrated not just their professional care for her, your kind and consoling concern for our loved one during her battle was deeply appreciated.
