CNN’s Anderson Cooper (right) has been criticized for getting emotional. “There was one incident with Hurricane Katrina when I got kind of angry,” he told Armour & Co. “But you look at most cable programs and there are people yelling and hollering. I try to be pretty middle of the road.” We bring this up because for Thursday’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” Cooper was in town to report on the killings of 28 Chicago Public School students this academic year. He may not have shown it on camera, but the subject did get under his skin. “I just think it’s important to cover these kinds of stories,” Cooper told us. “There is no need to add emotion to a story like this. This is a story that you can’t help but be heartbroken about.”
