– Will “Prison Break” return with more episodes this summer or early fall? I really enjoy this series and would hate to see it abandoned. — Michiko Maebori, Auburn, Wash.
Fortunately for you, there are enough other people who feel the same way, so Fox gave the Wentworth Miller-starring drama series an early renewal for a third season. Then again, the second season ended early, so there was a certain synergy there. No specific return date has been set yet, but rest assured, it’ll be back.
– My husband and I love the show “Medium,” but we have no clue what meaning the recent references to Joe’s “trauma at work” had. Could you fill in the blanks? — Teresa Gottier,
Columbus, Ohio
Joe (played by Jake Weber on the NBC series) was in need of a ride to work and called someone he found in his company’s employee directory, not realizing the man had just been fired. Seeking vengeance for his dismissal, the man agreed to provide the transportation, knowing Joe could provide him with access to the building — where the armed ex-worker proceeded to take hostages, Joe among them.
– What happened to “Wildfire”? I want to know who was in the car that pulled up beside Kris, which made her ask, “What are you doing here?” — Mary Lloyd, Luther, Okla.
That’s what’s known as your garden-variety cliffhanger, meant to keep you in suspense until the show’s next season begins. A specific start date for the ABC Family drama’s fourth year hadn’t been announced at this writing, but we’d bet on January, since that has been the traditional time for “Wildfire” to start up again. Until then, no one — except for the show’s cast and crew — will know who’s in the car.
– What has happened to Soledad O’Brien and Miles O’Brien of CNN’s “American Morning”? — Karley Hall, Ridge, N.Y.
The network reassigned the O’Briens (who, for the record, are not related) in April, upon deciding to appoint John Roberts and Kiran Chetry as the anchors of the weekday news program. Soledad is working with CNN’s Special Investigations Unit — in fact, she dove right in for a special on the Virginia Tech shootings the weekend after the tragedy — while Miles continues to report on the science and space beats. He notably contributed to CNN’s April coverage of the fatal crash of a Blue Angels pilot during an air show.
