If you missed “The Sopranos” on Sunday night, forget about reading the rest of this item. This is your official spoiler alert.
Shy wiseguy Bobby “Bacala” Baccalieri may not have seen the gunmen approaching, but Steven Schirripa, who plays Bobby on “The Sopranos,” knew something was up when series creator David Chase asked to come over to his house.
“It was like the grim reaper coming to my house,” Schirripa told The New York Post.
“We sat down at the kitchen table and he said, ‘I guess you know why I’m here.’ It was like a friggin’ hit,” said Schirripa, who was murdered in a toy shop in Sunday’s episode.
Schirripa told the Post he had hoped Bobby would survive until the series finale, which airs Sunday, but he wasn’t unhappy with Bobby’s grim death. “I couldn’t have asked for a better scene. It was the first time I ever died on camera and that was a new experience for me,” he said.
