Gail Stevens, nee McMurdo, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2007 at her home in South Elgin surrounded by her family. She was born in Chicago March 21, 1941, graduated from Austin High School in 1959 and moved to Elgin in 1970. She is survived and remembered by her husband of 47 years, Leon Sr.; her four children, Leon Jr., Donna, Mark Stevens and Laura LaGrano; her seven grandchildren, Suzy, Samantha, Jodi, Brian, Heidi, Anthony and Michael; her five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan, Liberty, Landen and Adam; and her brothers, Donald and Michael McMurdo. Preceded in death by her father, Donald, her mother Louise, nee Roberts and her brother David McMurdo. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1111 Van Street in Elgin followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
