Lotte Buchsbaum, nee Elend, age 87, formerly of Chicago and most recently of Richmond, Virginia, died on June 4, 2007. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Fred; her brother and sister-in-law, Hermann and Sylvia (Ika) Elend; and brother-in-law, Murray Guttenplan. She is survived by her daughters, Margalit (Gary) Neiman and Yael (Tony) Vitiello; granddaughters, Emily Neiman and Lisa (Aaron) Goldman; and grandsons, Aaron and Evan Vitiello; she also leaves behind her sister, Kate Guttenplan; and many loving nieces and nephews. A competitive bridge player, avid reader and skilled seamstress, Lotte will be remembered for her tireless energy and spunky determination. Services will take place at Congregation Am Echad this Friday, June 8, 2007, at 11 a.m., followed by Interment at Jewish Oakridge Cemetery, Hillside, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Congregation Am Echad, 160 Westwood Dr., Park Forest, Illinois, 60466.
